>从今日凌晨起，有来自北京、重庆、武汉等多地网通、电信用户向东方网反映，无法正常访问国外网站，包括雅虎在内的多家国际知名网站均无法正常访问，MSN等IM也无法正常登陆。中国网通以及中国电信集团公关处人士，均于9:00向本网证实，昨晚<a href="http://news.sina.com.cn/c/2006-12-27/013010868387s.shtml" target="_blank" >台湾地区的地震</A>影响到内地出口光缆，造成国内访问国外网站故障，稍后将公布进一步消息

>Communications Across Asia Disrupted As Earth Quake Damages Undersea Cables

>(RTTNews) - Telephone and Internet services across Asia were severely disrupted due to the damages caused to undersea cables by Tuesday's earthquake near Taiwan. Reports say that it will take weeks for the damaged cables to be repaired as crews have to pull them up and transfer them to a ship for repair.

>The countries severely affected by the disrupted communications are Taiwan, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Hong Kong, China, South Korea and Japan. Many of the customers from these countries were having trouble in making international calls and many of them were unable to access Web sites in parts of America, Taiwan and South Korea.

>Almost all the major communications companies from the region said that their services were affected by the damages caused to the undersea cables by Tuesday's earth quake. The two major undersea communications cables off Taiwanese coast, damaged by the earthquake, were used by several countries to route calls and online traffic.
