Has anyone tried the diet in Healing Psoriasis: The Natural Alternative by John O. A. Pagano ?
On amazon there are about 40 reviews by people who say they did the diet and it was wonderful and cleared up most or all of their psoriasis. There are only 6 that say it did not help. It is possible that the great reviews are all from the authors friends. Sometimes this happens on Amazon and you can not trust the reviews. I am very curious about anyone here who has tried this.
It takes a long time for my skin to react now to such things as gluten, monosodium glutamate etc. (in the latter case I used to develop white lumps on my psoriasis spots the day after).
If I eat bread or gluten containing food now my stomach feels heavy and uncomfortable immediately so I eat very little. It doesn't appear to affect my skin at this level.
I am not on a strict diet. I just down a soupspoonful of codliver oil first thing in the morning, (half an hour before eating), just include lots of broccolli, green beans, live yoghurt or non dairy acidophilus, lots of fruit, chicken plus a multibionta tablet a day.
I have had minimal skin psoriasis (only some hair and nail type) for over a year now. I do occasionally go on a bender, drinking etc., when with family or friends and completely ignore all my above rules without immediate effect.
I do think it take a hell of a long time to get a diet to work though.
